Mindgineer Agency supported the 5th Ukrainian Assault Brigade at the Ukrainian Creative Festival, helping raise funds for a new electronic warfare device. This device blocks enemy drone signals, making it harder for them to find and attack our troops. We created an experience called "Buy the Silence." Soldiers from the brigade recorded the buzzing of enemy drones flying over their positions. Guests at the event wore helmets with headphones and listened to those real killer drone sounds at the battlefield. As one visitor put it, it felt like “a test drive of hell.”
To silence the drone noise in the helmet, guests could donate toward the new device. Each donation paused the sound — giving people a chance to literally Buy Silence for our soldiers. In return, visitors received thank-you notes from the soldiers — written on whatever they had at hand in the trenches.
We also displayed a damaged electronic warfare device that had been hit in combat. It felt really good to help Ukrainian defenders battle the enemy drones. Several Ukrainian media outlets covered the 'Buy the Silence' activation, highlighting the crucial role of creative work in driving military donations.
